Byzantine Museum
Save
The Byzantine Museum in Athens has operated in the city for almost one hundred years but it was moved to its current edifice only in the 1930s. Since then, it has gone through many changes and been enlarged several times to be able to accomodate more exhibits, constisting mainly of objects of art covering the whole 15 centuries of Greek history. In the museum you can see statues, paintings, pictures, woodcarvings, but also coins, ceramics and precious prints and manuscripts. You can enter the museum for a fee (with discounts for children and the elderly).
