Agios Georgios: south-west
In the resort, you will find a several kilometres long beach stretching along the coast and covered with goldish glowing sand. In its northern part, you can even see sand dunes, separating te beach from the neighbouring lake of Korission. Nonetheless, the southern part offers much more possibilities of holiday relaxation, including, besides sunbathing, action water sports. You can choose from windsurfing, water skiing and driving a motorboat, but also diving and snorkelling. What’s more, the beach has been adapted also for the disabled. The water there is crystal clear and has been awarded the EU Blue Flag for top quality. And once you get weary of the place (it this does happen), you can have a swim in some of the many pools in the resort. You will also fin there restaurants where you can have a nice sit-down over a glass of good wine and Greek delicacies.

The beach can be found in the Agios Georgios, resort (St. George) near the lake of Korission on the south-west coast of Corfu. You should be careful about where you are going though, as there is a resort exactly of the same name also in the north-east part of the island which is totaly different. The one in the south can be characterized by pine groves, goldish beach, and sky-blue sea.
