Messonghi
The main beach in Messonghi is clean, sand and pebble, passing slowly into the sea. It lies away from busy roads and so, it can offer peace and relaxation. The water there is mostly calm and crystal clear, so it will be appreciated especially by children and lovers of water sports. If you last there till the evening, or you set off there for a romantic evening walk, there are impressive sunests and a weird view of a huge glaring moon at night awaiting you. During the day, you can see from there up to the Greek and Albanian coast. To savour those natural beauties in all the comfort, you will find there umbrellas and deckchairs but also showers and changing cubicles. Along the beach, there are several snack bars where you can buy some refreshment and cold drinks. If you are yearning for a bit of excitement, you can enjoy some of the water sports being offered, including paddle boats, diving, paragliding, etc.

The beach can be found about 20 km south of the Corfu capital Kerkyra, where two seaside resorts are located very close to each other - Messonghi, and Moraitika only one kilometre further, separated by the Messonghi. river. Like most resorts on Corfu, this one has also developed from a small fishing village, and it a famous place of holiday relaxation.
