Chiona is a completely untouched beach without any tourist equipment. You can get there taking a turn-off from Palekastro, and you will also find there the remains of a former ancient fortress and a Minoan town. Palekastro can be found about 21 km far from there. The way from Palekastro is a tarmac one at the beginning, then only a rocky one, passing through an olive grove and ending right at the beach.
