On the town square under a more than one hundred years old tree, you will find his monument, and a bit far from the village, there is a house where the illustrious painter was born and grew up, including his bust. The whole area is called Arhontiko, and, beside El Greco´s birthplace, you will also find there a small Byzantine church - the Church of Panagia.
